Bridge & Tunnel Coffee

Bridge & Tunnel Coffee is a café and roastery inside the Coman Student Activity Center on the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College campus, open to the public and pouring espresso, nitro, and tea. With a plant-centric kitchen behind the bar, it works for a weekday breakfast or a quick lunch between errands.

Their iced espresso drinks are built differently than most, and the iced latte and dirty chai latte lead the order counts. The Cafe con Miel, made with local honey, is another favorite.

✨ What Makes It Special
Everything is roasted in house, and the nitro program is the calling card, poured with rotating seasonal flavors over flake ice. The business began as two food trucks before the café opened, and those trucks still work markets and events around town.

🏡 The Vibe
The cafe is located in a spacious, light-filled, student center with plentiful parking out front and in adjacent lots. There’s unlimited internet access and a rotation of artwork from the community. The customer base includes students of all ages, faculty, staff, and the general public. Busiest between 10am & 12:00pm, it’s quiet enough to sit with a laptop in the early morning and early afternoon hours.
